Basketball Game Preview: Keokuk Chiefs vs. Mt. Pleasant Panthers

After both having extra time off, the Keokuk Chiefs and the Mt. Pleasant Panthers will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Pleasant took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Keokuk, who comes in off a win.

Keokuk got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They blew past Fairfield 69-43 last Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chiefs.

Meanwhile, Mt. Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 61-50 to Washington.

Keokuk's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Mt. Pleasant, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Keokuk strolled past Mt. Pleasant in their previous matchup back in February by a score of 60-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Keokuk since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
