Recap: Foothills Christian Knights vs. Point Loma Pointers
The Foothills Christian Knights lost against the Point Loma Pointers back in January of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Foothills Christian took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Point Loma. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Foothills Christian in their matchups with Point Loma: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Foothills Christian still got an impressive performance from Andrew Burke, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Orozco, who scored 8 points.
It was another big night for Grant Stewart , who scored 18 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds for Point Loma. The match was Stewart 's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nick Freeman, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals.
Foothills Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Point Loma, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
Foothills Christian is on the road again on Thursday and play against Ocean View Christian at 5:00 p.m. on December 7th. As for Point Loma, they will be playing in front of their home fans against High Tech SD at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. High Tech SD is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
