Soccer Game Preview: Stansbury vs. Hillcrest

The Stansbury Stallions will venture away from home to challenge the Hillcrest Huskies at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Stansbury fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Murray on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Stansbury's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hillcrest). They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Jordan on Friday. The victory continues a trend for Hillcrest in their matchups with Jordan: they've now won three in a row.

Stansbury's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hillcrest, the win also got them back to even at 6-6.

Stansbury skirted past Hillcrest 2-1 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stallions since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
