Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for University

University entered their tilt with Eustis on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Panthers. This was payback for the Titans, who suffered a 10-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kendra Lee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jacquelyn Lara was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Bella Delgado, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

University's record is now 8-4. As for Eustis, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.

University and Eustis should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. University will take on Lake Mary at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 153 places (145 vs. 298). Meanwhile, Eustis (ranked 37th) will meet Tavares (ranked 134th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
