Football Game Preview: Binghamton Patriots vs. Vestal Golden Bears

Binghamton is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Saturday. They will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Vestal Golden Bears at 1:00 p.m. Binghamton has now lost eight straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since October 4.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 44-6, which was the final score in Binghamton's tilt against Johnson City on Saturday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 42 points the game before, Vestal was a bit more limited in their contest last Friday. The matchup between the Golden Bears and Owego Free Academy didn't end well, with the Golden Bears falling 30-13. The loss put an end to the Golden Bears' undefeated start to the season.

Binghamton will have to contain Cayden Kitchin as he made an impact in Vestal's last game. He rushed for 82 yards and one score on only nine carries. Kitchin was even better on defense, picking up 0.5 sacks and making 20 total tackles.

Binghamton's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Vestal, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
