Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln vs. Midwood

Lincoln hasn't had much luck against Midwood recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Railsplitters will take on the Hornets at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lincoln is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals on Sunday, they were much more limited against Dewey on Wednesday. They came up short against Dewey, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, Midwood didn't have quite enough to beat Roosevelt on Tuesday and fell 4-3.

Midwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lincoln, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Lincoln couldn't quite get it done against Midwood in their previous meeting back in September of 2019 as they fell 4-2. Can the Railsplitters avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
