Soccer Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln lost against Springfield back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Railsplitters came up short against the Senators, falling 9-0. That's two games in a row now that Lincoln have lost by exactly nine goals.

Lincoln is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9. As for Springfield, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-2 victory against Auburn on the 12th. As for Springfield, they have also already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Athens/PORTA on the 12th.
