Baseball Recap: Melbourne Comes Up Short

Melbourne suffered their biggest loss since February 11th on Wednesday. They lost 12-1 to the Sunset Knights. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Melbourne saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Gonzalez, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Melbourne's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Sunset, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Melbourne wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 17-7 victory against Wheaton Academy on the 30th. As for Sunset, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-2 win against Coral Gables on the 31st.
