Volleyball Recap: Little Chute Mustangs vs. Waupaca Comets
Little Chute was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Waupaca Comets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-12, 25-18.
Waupaca can attribute much of their success to Natalie Waller, who had 14 digs. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: Waller now had 11 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Little Chute's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Waupaca, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Little Chute has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Denmark at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waupaca, they will challenge Fox Valley Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
