Basketball Recap: Jonah Bruer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Carlisle County over Marshall County

Carlisle County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 63-47 bruising from the Marshall County Marshals. The Comets were probably out for revenge after losing 68-36 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Carlisle County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jonah Bruer, who posted three points and three steals. That's the most steals Bruer has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Burgess, who earned 11 points.

Carlisle County's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-3. As for Marshall County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Carlisle County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-49 victory against Hickman County on the 13th. As for Marshall County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-49 win against McCracken County on the 12th.
