It was a good run, but Trinity Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their 14-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Greenville Christian Academy Knights by a score of 51-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since February 2, 2024.

Trinity Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Burnham, who posted 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Burnham has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenna Overton, who went 6 of 8 en route to 14 points.

Even though they lost, Trinity Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Trinity Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4. As for Greenville Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Trinity Christian will square off against New Bern Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian's defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so New Bern Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Greenville Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Hilltop Christian at 6:00 p.m.
