Baseball Recap: Kiel Raiders vs. Chilton Tigers
Kiel lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Chilton, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Raiders put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 11-2 win on Friday. Considering the Raiders have won seven contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Cade Voelker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Voelker was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Edward LeMieux, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
