Recap: Aucilla Christian Warriors vs. Jefferson County Tigers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Aucilla Christian Warriors walked away with it. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 71-60 on Tuesday. Aucilla Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aucilla Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Bass, who scored 21 points along with seven assists and three steals. Bass has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. Ben Gamalero was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Aucilla Christian pushed their record up to 12-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Jefferson County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
Aucilla Christian will square off against Crossroad Academy at TBD on Thursday. Crossroad Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 250 points over their last four games. Jefferson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
