Marietta skates past South Cobb with ease

Recap: Marietta Blue Devils vs. South Cobb Eagles
The Marietta Blue Devils waltzed into Tuesday's match with three straight wins but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat South Cobb 65-23 at home. With Marietta ahead 38-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Kayla Day was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 18 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists. Day is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Athena Dews was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Marietta's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for South Cobb, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Marietta will be playing at home against McEachern at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully McEachern focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Saturday. As for South Cobb, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
