Tate is 0-10 against Pace since April of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Aggies will be playing at home against the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Tate will be strutting in after a win while Pace will be coming in after a loss.
Tate not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 20th. They put the hurt on Escambia with a sharp 15-1 victory.

Peyton Womack made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Tate got a massive performance out of Kara Wine, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Jordyn Banks was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI.
Tate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Pace fell victim to Niceville and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Hannah DeMarcus spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 16 Ks.
On the hitting side, Pace saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby McLean, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
Tate has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Pace, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Tate hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Pace struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Tate might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Pace when the teams last played back in February. Will the Aggies have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
