Basketball Recap: Midwest Central Takes a Loss

Midwest Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 70-36 defeat at the hands of the Riverton Hawks. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-13.

Midwest Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Riverton, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Midwest Central and Tremont will round out the year against one another at at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Riverton will take on St. Teresa in a holiday battle at at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for St. Teresa: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Riverton has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road.
