Basketball Game Preview: Niceville Eagles vs. Fort Walton Beach Vikings

The Niceville Eagles just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Fort Walton Beach Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Niceville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Thursday, everything went Niceville's way against Tate as Niceville made off with a 67-47 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Fort Walton Beach came up short against Gulf Breeze on Tuesday and fell 70-61. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Dolphins are ranked 48th).

Niceville's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Fort Walton Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Niceville won a contest that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in January, slipping by Fort Walton Beach 44-43. Will Niceville repeat their success, or does Fort Walton Beach have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
