Recap: Parrish Community Bulls vs. Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lakewood Ranch, the Parrish Community Bulls were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 59-48 win over Saint Stephen's Episcopal. Given Parrish Community's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 308th, while Saint Stephen's Episcopal is ranked 666th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Parrish Community got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Malakai Cuffy out in front who scored 13 points along with seven assists. Another player making a difference was Miles Fetterman, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, Saint Stephen's Episcopal saw an underclassman step up: Owen Li scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Li's third in a row with at least ten points.
Parrish Community's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Parrish Community will challenge Bayshore at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bayshore is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 64.1 points per game. Saint Stephen's Episcopal will be home for the holidays to greet Winthrop College Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Winthrop College Prep Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
