Softball Game Preview: Lutheran Crusaders vs. Winnebago Indians

Lutheran hasn't had much luck against Winnebago recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Crusaders will head out to square off against the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Lutheran is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They came up short against Genoa-Kingston, falling 8-1.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Winnebago's offense. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (9-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Winnebago, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Lutheran might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Winnebago in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Crusaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
