Basketball Game Preview: Peabody Warhorses vs. Alexandria Trojans

The Peabody Warhorses will face off against the Alexandria Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Peabody was able to grind out a solid win over West Ouachita, taking the game 52-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warhorses.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Alexandria, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They managed a 46-40 victory over Ruston on Friday.

Alexandria's win came from a few key players Peabody will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jamaari Collins, who posted 11 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Cassie Benoit was another key player, putting up seven points.

Alexandria smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 42 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Alexandria pushed their record up to 21-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points over those games. As for Peabody, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.
