Long Beach Poly managed to keep up with Millikan until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits came up short against the Millikan Rams, falling 3-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Jackrabbits' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Long Beach Poly's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-6. As for Millikan, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-2-1.

Long Beach Poly and Millikan should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Long Beach Poly (ranked 294th) will meet Compton (ranked 779th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Millikan will challenge Woodrow Wilson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday up 135 places (16 vs. 151).
