Volleyball Recap: Boyd-Buchanan Takes a Loss

If Boyd-Buchanan was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Grace Baptist Academy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Buccaneers came up short against the Silverdale Academy Seahawks on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their meetings with the Seahawks: they've now lost five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-14.

Silverdale Academy found their leader in freshman Emily Givens, who had four digs and three aces. Givens has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played.

Boyd-Buchanan's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Silverdale Academy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 23-6.

Boyd-Buchanan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Silverdale Academy, they will welcome Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
