Baseball Recap: Pioneer Falls to Clinton Central in First Game of Season

Pioneer unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 10-6 to the Clinton Central Bulldogs on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Brodie Howard was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Guffey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Pioneer has already played their next match, a 9-8 win against Tri-County on the 8th. As for Clinton Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against Delphi Community on the 7th.
