Calvin barely beat St. Joseph's - Plaucheville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Eagles on Wednesday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

Haley Martin made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one triple. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Kyleigh Blundell was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Gabby Edwards was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Calvin is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-13 record this season. As for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-16.
