Cross made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Hilton Head Prep, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Stingrays fell just short of the Dolphins by a score of 51-48 on Monday. The Stingrays' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Hilton Head Prep, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Cross will take on Hilton Head Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hilton Head Prep, they will face off against St. Andrew's at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Dolphins will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
