Football Recap: Windber Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Windber and Conemaugh Township squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Windber had to settle for second. They fell 41-28 to the Indians. The Ramblers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Windber's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Nokosi Fowler-Whetstone, who rushed for 124 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, and Ike Serenko, who rushed for 125 yards and one score on only 11 carries. Serenko's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 125 rushing yards.

Conemaugh Township's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brennan Lohr, who rushed for 220 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Greyson Studer also deserves a shout-out for his two TDs.

Windber's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Conemaugh Township, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Windber does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Conemaugh Township, they will take on Meyersdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' defense better be ready for this one: the Red Raiders have averaged an impressive 27.1 points per game this season.
