Volleyball Recap: Grandview Takes a Loss

Grandview saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of the Belton Pirates by a score of 2-1. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Grandview ultimately came up short, they really made Belton work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 26-24, 15-7.

Sebastian Williams paced Grandview's offense, picking up 11 kills. Williams got some help from Alan Uncal-Ramirez and his 16 assists. Shintaro Tanaka and Kenneth Reyes kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Grandview's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Belton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-10-1.

While Grandview had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
