Basketball Game Preview: Caesar Rodney Riders vs. Polytech Panthers

Caesar Rodney is 2-8 against Polytech since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Caesar Rodney Riders will venture away from home to take on the Polytech Panthers at 5:15 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Caesar Rodney is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past MOT Charter 70-49 on Saturday. The Riders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Polytech waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They snuck past the Spartans with a 50-46 victory.

Polytech's win came from a few key players Caesar Rodney will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sierra Henry, who posted 17 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. Henry is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Saniya Skinner was another key player, going 5 of 11 on her way to 14 points and four steals.

Polytech pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Caesar Rodney, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Caesar Rodney came up short against Polytech in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 58-51. Can Caesar Rodney avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
