Baseball Recap: Wilkinson County Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Ben's Ford Christian

Wilkinson County Christian Academy hadn't done well against Ben's Ford Christian recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams blew past the Eagles 8-2. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Beau Deville made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 2.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Deville was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Justin Hendry was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing two bases. Those runs marked the first that he scored this season.

Wilkinson County Christian Academy moved to 4-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Ben's Ford Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wilkinson County Christian Academy will take on rival Tensas Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give the Rams their first taste of in-conference action this season. Meanwhile, Ben's Ford Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Wilkinson County Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
