Hazelwood West got themselves on the board against McCluer North on Saturday, but McCluer North never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 12-0 margin over the McCluer North Stars. The Wildcats have beaten the Stars the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Stars has come to flipping the script.

Jayden Green was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Green was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cristian Ibarra- Castro, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Kyler Whitehead, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Hazelwood West's win bumped their record up to 2-0.
