Football Recap: Knightstown Piles Up the Points Against West Washington

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Knightstown had no problem doing just that on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the West Washington Senators 46-7. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four games by 39 points or more so far this season.

Leading Knightstown to victory were Bryor Carmichael and Jameson Crawford. Carmichael threw for 307 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, while Crawford gained 165 total yards. The Panthers are undefeated when Carmichael posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise. 81 of Carmichael's passing yards were hauled in by Brody Willard.

Knightstown's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for West Washington, they moved to 5-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Knightstown will square off against North Decatur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers' defense has only allowed 13.9 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them. West Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
