Baseball Recap: La Center Extends Road Winning Streak to Nine

The La Center Wildcats earned an 8-4 victory over the R.A. Long Lumberjacks on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Jakob Thomas tossed a big game, tossing 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Justin Fuller, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Caden Taylor, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

La Center's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average this season. As for R.A. Long, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2-1.
