Football Recap: South San Antonio's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Thursday just wasn't the day for South San Antonio's offense. The contest between the Bobcats and the Jay Mustangs didn't end well, with the Bobcats falling 15-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 33-13 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Anthony Mata threw for 67 yards on six of 16 attempts. On the ground, Carlos Arenas rushed for 62 yards.

Brennan Oliver was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 155 yards while picking up 7.8 yards per carry.

Having lost for the first time this season, South San Antonio fell to 2-1. As for Jay, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. South San Antonio will square off against rival Cigarroa at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th. Meanwhile, Jay is set to take on their familiar foe Southwest Legacy at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th.
