MaxPreps.com's Class of 2012 Top 100 could have a very different look at the top in its first update following the 2010-11 high school season.

That's because the No. 1 player – Connecticut's Andre Drummond – may not be a 2012 prospect much longer.

According to a recent story in the Hartford Courant, new NCAA academic eligibility requirements could cause him to push his graduation timetable up and become a member of the 2011 class.

On the floor, it shouldn't be much of an issue for the 6-foot-10 Drummond, who spent his summer winning a gold medal with the United States Under-17 team at the FIBA World Championship in Germany. He is the only sophomore to play for the postgraduate team at St. Thomas More (Oakdale, Conn.) in head coach Jere Quinn's 32-year tenure at the school.

Isaiah Austin of Grace Prep (Arlington, Texas) is No. 2 on the list. The recent Baylor commitment dazzled in Las Vegas last month, displaying perimeter skills and 3-point range to go along with his 7-foot frame.

MaxPreps.com's 2009-10 National Sophomore of the Year, DaJuan Coleman of Jamesville-DeWitt (DeWitt, N.Y.), checks in at No. 3. The ceiling may be higher for Drummond and Austin, but neither can match Coleman's production. The 6-8, 280-pound post averaged 24.1 points and 15.4 rebounds per game last winter and his team is 52-3 over the past two seasons with him in the lineup.

Read on for the complete list of Top 100 rising juniors in the country.
