Ruston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-2 to the Alexandria Trojans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-14 on March 11th.

Ruston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Annaliese Doss, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Those two hits gave Doss a new career-high.

North DeSoto's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Alexandria's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
