After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Antioch, Lakes was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 49-0 win over the Round Lake Panthers. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Ean Ankney went supernova, throwing for 236 yards and two TDs, while also punching in one rushing score. Trent Miller was another key player, picking up 91 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Lakes didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Anthony Perna and Porter Cramond.

Lakes' win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Round Lake, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Lakes wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 46-7 victory against North Chicago on the 10th. As for Round Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-17 loss against Grant Community on the 10th.
