Yates has gone 6-0 against Northside recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Yates Lions challenge the Northside Panthers at 7:15 p.m. Yates is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

On Tuesday, Yates was able to grind out a solid victory over Worthing, taking the game 60-52.

Meanwhile, Northside earned a 36-26 win over North Forest on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Yates' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Northside, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Yates didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Northside in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 46-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Yates since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
