Basketball Game Preview: Napaaqtugmiut Lynx vs. Akiuk Memorial Grizzlies

Having just played yesterday, the Napaaqtugmiut Lynx will jump right back in to play the Akiuk Memorial Grizzlies at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Napaaqtugmiut comes in on four and Akiuk Memorial on five.

Napaaqtugmiut is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Nunamiut 66-16. Given the Lynx's advantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Amaguq are ranked 92nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Akiuk Memorial strolled past Klawock with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 33-16. The 33-point effort marked the Grizzlies' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Napaaqtugmiut's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Akiuk Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 23-6.
