Baseball Recap: Campo Verde Coyotes vs. Desert Ridge Jaguars
On Tuesday Campo Verde's undefeated season almost came to an end. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Desert Ridge Jaguars 4-2. The four-run effort marked the Coyotes' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Ezekiel Zion made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Zion was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
