Volleyball Recap: Fieldcrest Takes a Loss

Fieldcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Chiefs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Deer Creek-Mackinaw scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21.

Fieldcrest's loss dropped their record down to 7-11-2. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Fieldcrest will face off against Mahomet-Seymour at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they will challenge Eureka at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
