Football Recap: Sherman Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Sherman played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Tug Valley Panthers and fell 51-16. The defeat continues a trend for the Tide in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Several Tide players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chase Southern, who picked up 101 receiving yards and one touchdown. Southern got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 96 yards.

Sherman's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Tug Valley, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sherman will host Pocahontas County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tug Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Logan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
