Huntley came into Thursday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Elgin Maroons by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Red Raiders were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Maroons, so the Red Raiders were just returning the favor.

While Huntley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22.

Huntley's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Elgin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season.

Huntley will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Harlem at 5:00 p.m. As for Elgin, they will head out on the road to challenge South Elgin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
