Volleyball Game Preview: Westmont Warriors vs. Christopher Cougars

Westmont is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Thursday. They will head out to face off against the Christopher Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Westmont will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Westmont was able to grind out a solid win over Leland, taking the game 3-1.

Westmont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-8, 25-17, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Christopher came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Falcons 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Christopher was: they took every set by at least 25 points. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Christopher's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Westmont, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything went Westmont's way against Christopher when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Westmont made off with a 3-0 victory. Will Westmont repeat their success, or does Christopher have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
