Baseball Game Preview: Ridgeview Wolf Pack vs. Highland Scots

The Ridgeview Wolf Pack will challenge the Highland Scots at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Highland took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Ridgeview, who comes in off a win.

Ridgeview is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Bakersfield get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Wolf Pack, who have now won three games in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jacob Quintero, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Sanchez, who earned four runs and two stolen bases.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ridgeview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Highland lost 9-3 to Frontier on Friday. The Scots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Richard Gutierrez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Ridgeview, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.

Ridgeview came out on top in a nail-biter against Highland in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 11-10. Do the Wolf Pack have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
