Baseball Recap: Washtenaw Christian Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Washtenaw Christian Academy can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against the Hope Christian Academy Hawks by a score of 9-4. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gabe Millner and Simon Valaskiva-Howard did most of the damage at the plate: Millner went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Valaskiva-Howard went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave Valaskiva-Howard a new career-high. Cam Baluha was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Washtenaw Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Hope Christian Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-12.

Washtenaw Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hope Christian Academy, they will head out to take on Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
