Soccer Game Preview: Plant vs. Sumner

The Plant Panthers will head out to face off against the Sumner Stingrays at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Plant's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Wharton.

Meanwhile, Sumner made easy work of Robinson on Friday and carried off an 8-0 victory. The Stingrays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by five goals or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Sumner and bumps their season record up to 10-1. As for Plant, they now have a winning record of 7-6-2.

Plant beat Sumner 4-2 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Does Plant have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sumner turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
