Westlake barely beat Blind Brook the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Trojans on Friday. 11 seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Keith Haecker made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. Haecker was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

In other batting news, Frank Vessa was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Desmond Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Westlake has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.0 runs this season. As for Blind Brook, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Westlake and Blind Brook will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Wildcats see the field they'll take on Croton-Harmon at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Blind Brook, their break will end when they face Tuckahoe at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
