Smithtown East is a perfect 8-0 against Bellport since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bulls will head out on the road to challenge the Clippers at 4:00 p.m. Smithtown East will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Monday, Smithtown East got the win against Deer Park by a conclusive 3-0.

Smithtown East never let Deer Park on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-10, 27-25.

Sadie LaPresti was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 17 assists and three aces.

LaPresti wasn't the only good servers: Smithtown East was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Bellport lost 3-0 to Smithtown West last Monday. The Clippers have struggled against Smithtown West recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

While Bellport was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Smithtown West's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-13, 25-23.

Smithtown East's win bumped their record up to 22-4-5. As for Bellport, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Smithtown East beat Bellport 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
