Gardner-South Wilmington came out on top against Illinois Lutheran on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run first inning. The Panthers blew past the Chargers 15-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 on Tuesday.

That's the most runs Gray has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Reed Millette, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Gardner-South Wilmington and bumps their season record up to 9-16. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Illinois Lutheran, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-7.
