Soccer Recap: Jacobs Comes Up Short

Jacobs managed to slip by Mundelein the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Golden Eagles lost 5-0 to the Mustangs on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Jacobs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Mundelein are ranked 49th).

Jacobs' loss dropped their record down to 3-3-3. As for Mundelein, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jacobs will face off against Huntley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jacobs' defense better be ready for this one: Huntley have averaged an impressive 4 goals per game this season. As for Mundelein, they will challenge Zion-Benton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Mundelein's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
